2024-25 Capital Improvement Project

The Potsdam Central School District is excited to share our plans for a new small capital project that will address key areas in our district. These updates are essential in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our facilities, benefiting both students and staff.

Overview

High School Art Classroom Renovation

Our high school art room will undergo a major renovation, with new casework and a redesigned layout to create a more efficient space. The addition of modern amenities, including a new kiln room, pottery wheels, and a dark room, will better support the needs of our growing art program.

High School Electronic Signage

A new digital sign will be installed on LeRoy Street to highlight student events and district updates, along with additional signage on campus for improved navigation and communication.

A.A.K. Middle School Main Corridor Restroom Renovation

We will upgrade the middle school’s main corridor boys’ and girls’ restrooms with new tile, stall doors, and fixtures, as well as new ceilings and lighting.

These improvements will enhance the restroom’s functionality and align its appearance with the renovated corridor to accommodate its high usage between the gym and cafeteria.

A.A.K. Middle School Mechanical Control Upgrades

We will replace the existing pneumatic control systems with a Direct Digital Control (DDC) system for improved efficiency and reliability in managing the building’s systems.

Interior Corridor Wall Tile Upgrades

We will continue upgrading hallway finishes throughout the district, ensuring a consistent and welcoming environment. These improvements will make our hallways easier to maintain.
