The Potsdam Drama Club is bringing a fan-favorite musical to the stage this March with its production of Little Shop of Horrors.
Little Shop of Horrors follows Seymour, a timid floral assistant whose discovery of a strange and unusual plant quickly changes his life. As the plant grows, so do the stakes, leading to a humorous and suspenseful story filled with memorable music and larger-than-life characters.
Students will perform on Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium at Potsdam High School, located at 29 Leroy Street in Potsdam.
Leading roles include Seymour (Owen Hughes), Audrey (Avery-Lin Seymour), Dr. Orin Scrivello (Gavin Thompson), Mr. Mushnik (Christian Normile), Ronnette (Olivia Ashley), Chiffon (Reagan White), Crystal (Kwynn Russell), and the Voice of Audrey II (Colden Wheeler).
Senior cast members include Olivia Ashley, Avery-Lin Seymour, Reagan White, Ollie (Memphis) Lucas, Aaylla Kandakatla, Will Jones, Danyn Pfalmer, Kate Ewy, and Emily Ewy.
“I am so tremendously proud of this year’s cast and crew,” said Director and Drama Club Advisor Natalie Randall. “The cast this year is made up of new, talented students along with our veteran cast members. They have worked so hard these past couple months and have learned everything so quickly and efficiently. The cast and crew know how to get their work done on stage but also have fun in the process.”
Online presale tickets are available for $8 and $10 at our.show/potsdamdramaclub. Tickets purchased at the door will be $12 and $14.
All proceeds from the performances will support the Potsdam Drama Club and help fund future musicals.
Community members are encouraged to attend and support the arts.
