Hall of Fame Inductees
We proudly acknowledge the exceptional individuals who have been inducted into our Hall of Fame. We celebrate their outstanding accomplishments and lasting impact on Potsdam Central School District’s athletics programs.
Selection Guidelines & Criteria
A nomination form will be placed in the local newspapers, school website, social media, and announced on the radio in the spring of the year (odd-numbered years) prior to induction ceremony, with nominations due October 1st each year. On alternate years (even years), appropriate groups will assist in soliciting nominations for the Hall of Fame.
All letters of nomination must be made using the Hall of Fame Nomination Form, which includes:
- High school athletic accomplishments
- Resume of high school activities and positions of leadership
- Endeavors and accomplishments (athletics, community service, etc.)
- Present position, family, address, and telephone number
The Selection Committee will meet to consider and select the nominations to be presented to the Board of Education for final approval vote. A public announcement of final selections will be made ahead of the Induction Ceremony. Nominations not selected will carry over for a period of five years.
Any Board member that is nominated for induction shall abstain from the selection process for his/her nomination.
The number of people inducted each year into the Hall of Fame should be determined so as to make the inductions significant, meaningful, and financially feasible.
The above Selection Guidelines and Criteria can only be altered by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of all Board members.
